NSW Council amalgamation report ‘awash with errors’

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on 25th January 2016 that the NSW state government is facing a black hole of tens of millions of dollars in its costings of forced council amalgamations as the result of a KPMG report which has been described as being “awash with errors”.   Professor Brian Dollery, the director of the University of New England’s centre for local government, described the report as being “awash with errors”.
